Hey Guys! So today I'm going to teach you guys a super easy to make DIY Hair Mask to moisturize and naturally lighten your hair!

Of course, if you want to spend the money to go to the saloon to get your hair 'professionally' bleached. Then thats your decision. But today, I will introduce you to 2 household kitchen items, you definitely have and it is so much more inexpensive!

So Lets Begin!

What do I need?
So firstly you need either
1.

honey-and-lemon.jpg

Honey or Lemon.

This now depends on your hair colour.

If your blonde or have light hair , use lemon.

But if your Brunette, or have dark black hair use Honey.

This is because lemons helps to lighten your hair however, on brunette hair it makes it appear orange or brassy.

For this Mask I will be using Honey because I have black hair.

2. Conditioner

Steps.

So it is simply to mix 1 part honey with 2 parts conditioner and mix till it has an even colour and consistency. Then apply to hair, from root to tip but try not to touch the scalp so I advice flipping your hair over and applying so you avoid the scalp.

Now just twist it into a bun onto you head and leave it in for 30-40 mins (or if you have the time, a good few hours) . In this period of time you can go on and shave your legs, put on a face mask, and just relax with a good book for awhile. Or the other alternative is to wear you hair out like this for the whole day (if you dare), or since its summer, just put it up in a bun and head to the beach, the nearest pool or just your backyard and sit under the sun for a little bit. The Sun will help to quicken the process.

And once you get home, just wash the mask off, and just shampoo and condition as usual!

On initial application your hair may feel a bit sticky and dry. But after you wash it off, you will feel instantly that the moisture has been caught in your hair! Even though initially I said just shampoo and condition, after using this mask, I do not need to because my hair already feels so smooth and moisturized!

The Secret.

The reason why honey works is because it contains dilute hydrogen peroxide which will help to lighten your hair!

How long will this process take?

You will have to use this mask regularly to see an actual change in your hair colour, but I promise slowly and gradually, you will see your hair colour go lighter!

I use this mask twice a week, and over a period of 4 weeks I have seen my hair go lighter!

A little more about Lemons.

IF your looking for a quicker way to lighten your hair, Lemons is a good option. However, it is more damaging and less moisturizing compared to Honey.

For Lemons, you just need to add it into your shampoo and with everyday use, overtime you will see your hair Gradually Lighten!

So I hope you girls enjoy your gorgeous new hair!

xoxo,

KimmyB
