Make-It Monday: Sugar Exfoliating Scrub

So for this scrub you need 3 ingredients.

2 tablespoon of PURE Honey
2 or 3 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 cup of sugar.
(it all does not to be organic, but it better if it is:)

So lets get cracking!!

Honey

Honey promotes new tissue growth as it stimulate the growth of new skin.

Honey makes a great exfoliant. It contains mild alpha hydroxy acids, such as gluconic acid. These acids are very safe to use on skin and can loosen bonds between the dead skin cells, making it easier to shed this dead layer. These acids also increase elasticity, balance out oily skin, stimulate collagen production, and minimize lines and wrinkles, making you look younger.

Honey helps the skin hold moisture in. Honey contains amino acids, which help the skin retain its essential moisture. In addition, the sugar content in honey makes it an excellent humectant.

You can reduce free radicals with honey. Because of its many antioxidants, honey scavenges for free radicals. Honey can reverse damage done to your skin by these free radicals, and does not dry out your skin, like many soaps do.

Honey can improve blood circulation. Improved blood circulation means beautiful skin.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

* It is great moisturizing solution which makes your skin softer and smoother, its also a very good make up remover. Olive oil will penetrate deep into the skin and provide a long-lasting shield of moisture to keep skin smooth and supple. And believe it or not, it will not clog your pores! this is because its fat composition is very similar to that of human skin!

Sugar

The sugar is our exfoliater.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Originally, I learnt of the scrub as an exfoliating mask for people with dry skin. However, I have now used it as a body scrub and I love it!

The reason why the reciepe is 2 or 3 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil is becuase depending on how dry your skin is, put 2 if dry and 3 is very dry.

STEPS

1. Pour the olive oil into the container

2.Pour the honey into the container

3.Pour the sugar into the container

4. Mix well:)

When using, I use it in the shower before I wash my body. And after you apply your body soap, when your our of the shower, remember to moisturize the spots you applied the scrub. Although the scrub is exremely moisturzing due to the olive oil, exfoliating sometimes rip your skin of its natural oil.

After usage for 2 week, I have seen an improvement and more softnes to my skin. I apply it at most twice a week

ENJOY YOUR NEW SOFT SKIN MY DARLING!

Loves,

KimmyB
